The provincial police in Thunder Bay have recovered a stolen vehicle from Manitoba.
On Sunday around 1:00 p.m. officers received a report of gas theft from a business on Highway 102.
Officers located and stopped the vehicle, a black Ford Mustang.
An investigation determined that the vehicle was stolen in Winnipeg and that the driver had given officers fake identity information.
A search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of a suspected controlled substance.
As a result, a 30-year-old from Winnipeg, Manitoba is facing the following charges:
- • Possession of a controlled substance
• Drive a motor vehicle – with no licence
• Driver – fail to properly wear seatbelt
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
• Personation with Intent (Identity fraud)
• Theft under $5000
A 31-year-old and 21-year-old from Winnipeg, have also been charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The accused have been released with future court dates in Thunder Bay.
