The Kenora area set a record for the amount of snow on April 5th.
Yesterday, the city received 27.2 centimeters of snow, breaking the old record set back in 1965 by almost five centimeters (22.6 centimeters).
Kenora had the most snowfall in the region yesterday, followed by Thunder Bay at 12 centimeters, Ignace at 7.4, and Dryden just behind at 7.2 centimeters.
Other communities saw lesser amounts with Atikokan at 6.4, Sioux Lookout with 5 centimeters, and Fort Frances registering 3.3 centimeters.
Overall, Kenora had just 30.2 centimeters of snow during the two day storm.
