A 33 year old man has been charged with 2nd degree murder in connection to a death on the Wabaseemoong Independent Nation.
Emergency Medical Services responded to a person in medical distress on Friday.
He subsequently died.
The victim has been identified as 34 year old Carl Lee Jamieson Junior.
A post-mortem exam will be conducted in Toronto.
The investigation by the T3PS, OPP Forensic Identification Services, and OPP North West Region Crime Unit is continuing under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
The suspect remains in custody and will appear in Kenora Court on July 11th.
The OPP say there is no threat to public safety but residents can expect an increased police presence in the area.
