The Red Lake municipality says to continue boiling tap water if you live in the area.
An advisory was issued on Saturday and remains in place if you live in Balmertown, Cochenour, McKenzie Island and McMarmac.
The problem is yet to be determined but stems from the water treatment facility in Cochenour.
Director of Operations for the municipality, Maria Forsythe, says they are yet to come up with a plan at this time.
“We are currently gathering information and trying to determine the cause of the failure,” said Forsythe.
She adds they are unable to estimate how long the advisory will last.
